Christmas Morning Communion(ticket only) 25th December 9.30 am - 10.15 am

We have had to think long and hard about what we can offer the community in the way of worship this Christmas.

Carol Service:

There will be no Carol Service (we are still not allowed congregational singing) but we do hope to offer a Benefice Live Streamed Carol service on YouTube on 20 Dec at 6pm. Our YouTube channel is Bisley Benefice and currently you can view a Taize style worship service on it.

Crib Service:

with regret we have decided that we cannot offer a full Crib service this time around. The logistics of such a large number of families in a small building was beyond us. However we will be displaying both our small crib scene and our wonderful, unique, carved figures to allow families to come into church on Christmas Eve between 3:00 and 4:30pm to look at the display and to stop briefly and remind ourselves of the story of Jesus’ birth in the manger.

Midnight and Christmas Morning: We are offering Midnight Communion and Christmas Day Communion but we are asking you to book in advance. We are assuming that groups of up to 6 family members will be allowed, but we may need to alter this closer to the day according to any government guidelines in place at the time.

To book please email with details of which service you wish to book and for how many people. Due to anticipated demand we can only accept one booking per household and for only one of the services on offer.
Alternatively, please ring the Vicar on 01452 770897 to reserve your place.

The capacity of the building is limited so we cannot guarantee that everyone who applies will be successful. It will be booked on a first come first served basis and without a booking you may be turned away. A waiting list will be opened, if required.
IMPORTANT. If you cannot use your ticket please let us know so that they can be reallocated to those on the waiting list.

Covid regulations currently ask you to wear a face mask inside the building and use hand sanitiser as you go in/out. We also have an NHS QR code for those with smartphones, otherwise we will take your contact details. Please do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid.

Needless to say, all arrangements are subject to last minute changes and cancellation depending on the ongoing status of the virus, which is outside our control.

Do have a Merry Christmas and join in however and wherever you might find yourselves. Normal service will return as soon as possible, once we work out what normal looks like.

Online Advent Calendar

We all love the excitement of opening those little doors on a new Advent Calendar – and it doesn’t matter whether we are 4 or 94, the pleasure doesn’t dim.

There are no chocolates in the Bisley Benefice On-line Advent Calendars - just a delicious variety of musings on the themes of Advent and Christmas and an on-line ‘door’ will open every day in Advent.

The ‘grown up’ calendar starts on 29 th November, the first day of Advent, and the children’s calendar - with some beautiful flip-over books, puzzles and challenges - starts on 1 st December.

Links will be posted on the Bisley Benefice website ( and Facebook page on the start date.
